Thanks for the advice, but by the time I found a place that had the materials I could probably have it done. I can do anything except welding myself because I currently do not have a welder (but on my list of things to get).

From the tracking numbers everything should hopefully be here tomorrow. If that is correct I should have it all bolted up and ready to go tomorrow night.

The one I have on my CRX came out of the U-Pull-It yard. Dirt cheap and quiet.

When I first got it the muffler that was on it was very rotten. I cut and welded a pipe straight out the back on the right side. Used the pipe and flange that was on the old, rotten muffler. It wasn't TOO loud, and was on it when I got the best mileage out of it (52mpg).

You might be able to justify the cost of your own welder by the savings you would reap from doing the job yourself. I did that and I've used my welder a hundred times since then for all kinds of useful stuff.

Well I got it on this weekend... A lot quieter. Only problem is the hangers on the muffler are no long enough so the muffler is "tapping" the frame of the car on that side. Going to cut them off and have them rewelded by a friend (who will also weld on the tip).
