d16y7 with d15z1 head

i was thinking about building a new motor. starting with a d16y7 block, d16a6 pistons, and a d15z1 head, d16y8 intake manifold and a ls throtle body. i found a site to calculate the compression and it says 13:1 compression. what does everyone think about it please let me know sounds like a fun build.

Why would you have such a high compression ratio? It will make using regular gasoline impossible.. Now if you want to build a car that uses E85 to its potential, that'd be different. Having to use Premium Gasoline however would be a major  The only other thing you could do which might be exceedingly complicated is that you could have a car with a "geometric" compression ratio of 13:1 like the Prius and other hybrids but have the dynamic compression be somewhere around 9-10:1. The dynamic compression is the compression the "charge" actually experiences once all the valves are closed and the mixture is ignited. Delaying the valve closing is one of the ways this is done. The purpose of this is to have a longer power stroke than an intake stroke.

This approach would make sense and I'd be interested in hearing how it works.. However it would require you to get specially machined cams and that could get complicated or expensive.

this is the site i entered all the parts in and it gave me estimated 13:1

block is the d1y8 - d16y7
head choose other with volume 25.3
piston use pm6- d16a6
head gasket use d16y8- d16z6
piston to deck height- oem d16z6-d16y7
then go to top and hit calculate and it comes up with 13:1 its strange
and maybe a d16y8 cam would help
