I just got rid of a 95 SC1 5 spd. I bought the car with 118,000 miles on it and used it as a daily driver for 2 years back and forth to school. The route was 24.5 miles one-way, with only 8 of those miles at highway speeds.

My avg was 39.19 MPG for the 2 years I owned it. I kept the car tuned up and the tires were 37 psi.

What I found that affected my mpg the most was maintaining a conservative shift point at approx 1800-2000 RPMs.
