The article doesn't seem to mention used sales of guzzlers or sippers, but it says that sales of new guzzlers and sippers alike are way down and sales of in-between vehicles are not down.

My guess is that with the economy so awful, people who would buy guzzlers are buying less thirsty vehicles and the rest aren't buying new vehicles at all.

indeed. it seems it's a great time to buy a new sipper...or a new SUV.
