Who Is Out There?

I recently joined this site and am curious to see who out there is interested in going green and buying an electric or any type of energy efficient vehicle in today's market. Like I said, I am new to this site and would like to just get some chatter going back and forth within the GasSaver's community to see what is really going on out there. I look forward to hearing your responses. Have a great GREEN day!

there are many reasons to save gas. I for one do it for the money savings. I will say that helping out the environment is a good side effect.

I recently (within the last 4 months) purchased a toyota yaris. I don't drive it much but am getting 41+ mpg with it.

I've done quite a bit with my cavailer but the yaris is kind of off limits until it gets older and it paid off. no major modifications for a while.

anything that saves me money is OK in my book. air pollution welll.... doesnt save me money...i do recycle the most i can though!

new cars especially electric ones or hybrids to me can go catch fire for all i care, they havent made a good looking car in 20+ years... they've all adopted an egg, electric razor, or a box as thier styling. VERY little options and very little wiggle room to get the options you want. gotta be lemmings!!!

i remember when you had a choice of interior colors besides tan black and grey
had exterior colors besides red blue silver black grey green, none of these package deal crap, if i want power locks and manual windows i could get it. now cant even get manual windows without getting looked at like a weirdo.

dont forget gotta make it idiot proof too, abs tsc tpm etc when will it end? already have self parking cars, lane assist if your dumb and dont realize a cars next to you, cars that actively brake for you incase your playing with your ipod and gps while eating a burger

id take a 30 year old anything over a new car today any-day....least they had character back then

Count me as another money saver (a different kind of "green"). It's also an enjoyable hobby and it helps keep me busy and focused when I'm driving, rather than getting bored and distracted by things not related to driving.

Air quality isn't one of my motivations. My air quality is always great; I live, commute, and work in heavily forested lightly populated areas. I do worry about the potentially limited supply of crude oil.

However, we do have some people here who do it entirely for environmentalism.

I have been glancing at a few websites online about environmentalism, going green, energy efficient vehicles, and even solar energy. LOHAS is a great web community, Google it! Treehugger.com is another cool, environmentally friendly website. www.mygreenerdawn.com has information on cars, solar, and EEM's too. You can google Greener Dawn as well. I have cycled through these sites recently and have liked what I've seen. Check them out today!

Only reason is to save money, the Earth in over 4 BILLION years old. Hot, cold, snow ball, fire ball, water ball, tilted, cracked, raised and lowerd, all without humans. By the way, did you ever think about all the methane gas passed by all the dino's in there existence? Whew! Good for you if what you are doing makes you feel good for your short stay on earth. If we want to find those sites I am sure most people here can find them on our own with out you getting paid for it. Have a nice day.
