ScanGauge E
I think they finally got it.
they have come out with the scangaguge(e) which is a cheaper alternative that does all the cool things the scangauge does but only displays one item at a time. you also get a cheesy graphic display too. they have packages set up where you can daisy chain the E with your existing scangauge. I thought it was pretty cool. just sharing https://www.scangauge.com/buy/buy-direct/ |
Re: ScanGauge E
Nice. I like it. Let us know how good it works.

Re: ScanGauge E
I like my ultra scan gauge for $58.00.
|
Re: ScanGauge E
Looks like they're feeling the squeeze of competition from the UltraGauge. I don't think the $100 two-variable-display ScanGaugeE will compete well.
|
Re: ScanGauge E
I am not getting one just yet. i do like the whole graphic display but not $100 worth. if I needed one then maybe but right now I already have a scangauge and an ultragauge (one in each vehicle).
they also have a new feature where you can do performancy type measurements using the scangauge. 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times. that would be a neat upgrade though I don't think the cav could really perfom (or ever really could) |
Re: ScanGauge E
But I don't like the calvacade of hoops I had to jump through to get the $9 rebate from Ultrascan gauge.
My goodness! You think you were signing out a weapon from Mr. Q. https://www.klast.net/bond/images/q_gadgets.jpg |
Re: ScanGauge E
I was told by several people that the $9 rebate was not worth the time. that means that my ultragauge was $77 shipped so I can still live with that.
cavalier = scangauge Yaris = ultragauge I like the scangauge better but it is more because I am used to it. I have had the scangauge for 3 years now and the ultragauge for only 4 months. I don't really even mess with the ultragauge since I only drive the Yaris once weekly (maybe twice) |
Re: ScanGauge E
Where is each made? I kinda got the impression the Scangauge was assembled in the US.
|
Re: ScanGauge E
UltraGauge was designed and developed in the USA by Ultra-Gauge.com. UltraGauge.com is a US company that exclusively manufactures and sells UltraGauge. UltraGauge is assembled in China.
I can't find anywhere about where the scangauge is made. |
Re: ScanGauge E
I sent my ScanGauge II in about 3 months ago for free repair/replacement after owning it 3+ years all because I emailed their tech support and asked them if they had any pointers on how to fix my display going on the fritz when left in ambient temps over 80*F where it gets probably 120+ in the car... which they clearly state not to do.... but they still sent me a reply email telling me to send it in for a free repair/replacement.
Now that's damn good customer service. |
