Yah, clean your egr ports, and Id just go ahead and get a new egr because if yours is bad it clogs **** up real bad. Compression check and a slight possibility is it could have the wrong injectors. And tell us what the check engine light is.

i swapped in my brand new o2 sensor. still get the CEL. i took it to a shop to see if they can check the code. they said they cant check anything earlier than a 1996 car. so when i have time i guess i need to do count the blinks or whatever on the ecu. i have never done it so i guess we will see how it goes.

Did you clear the ECU codes before installing the 02 sensor?

You pull the code by shorting the 2 test port pins that hang from the ECU inside the passenger door firewall compartment. Turn the key forward with the two pins shorted, count the long blinks(this tells you how many into the tens collumn the code is) the short blinks is single digits. Find the corresponding code. Posted all over the internet for Civic's of this gen. A 48 is the LAF, post all code numbers and we'll help you with it.

Do you still have a CEL? Also, what is your speedometer symptoms?
