Gas Prices
I hope this doesn't make people go out buy more SUVs, but here, gas prices took a plunge. It's $2.09 here in Kansas City. I heard it was because we have an excessive supply from when Katrina hit and a surplus from importing a bunch of crude. Is it the same around the Gassavers.org world? I hope this doesn't zap people's enthusiasm for saving fuel, because it's only going to go up again...

It's funny, saw this on the left side of the page, and I'm thinking the same thing as you, people will stop caring. I year or two ago 2 dollars was hell, and worth trying to save, but not it's heaven, and no one will care. Not as many people, at least. |

Damn democrats, they wish
Damn democrats, they wish they could be socialists, but no. I generally don't bash bush because it's so annoying because I think everyone sucks, so why point him out, I'm big on communal stuff, so even if I didn't vote for bush personally, we all elected him, therefore I/we are responsible for him.
Have you seen my conspiracy theory thread on the news and gas prices? |

That being said, why would the current administration care what We The People thought of him? It isn't like he is up for re-election or anything. From where I sit, he hasn't cared about what we thought before, so why would he suddenly care now? I think the lower prices could just be the market doing it's thing. I do forsee gas prices going up again. Consider this the eye of the storm. |
...and now back to gas
...and now back to gas prices:
I saw $2.249 this weekend while driving through south GA. On a side note, on 08/15/05, the BP down the road from me had gas for the low low! See for yourself: https://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...ZkMzF5NTQx.jpg |

I actually saw $2.30 last
I actually saw $2.30 last week locally. We have 85 octane in the mountains so it's always a bit cheaper, but just down the street someone was selling it for $2.60. Such a wide price difference.
I predict a radical drop in gas prices due to an overwhelming public relations blunder. |

My dad filled up for 2.049 t'other day, and I've seen prices online puncturing 2 dollars.

stupid gas companies
I'm seeing $2.19 on one corner and $2.35 on the next corner. If there is such a divide in prices between resellers I'm fairly certain that everyone is screwing us over.

Mid 1.9x yesterday while getting lost on the way to dinner with my girlfriend. I thought it was good and she said she saw 1.85 on friday, so, meh.

If it's not the gas stations
If it's not the gas stations price gauging then it's the name brand gasolene companies. I refueled at 2.85 when I could of refueled at 2.55 but I was running out of gas looking for a gas station. When I finally refueled I had .5 gallon left. That is dangerously cutting it close.
