Honda motorcycles sold in the US
 

I wanted to make a thread about Honda motorcycle that has the highest MPG that is SOLD IN THE US. I would love to be able to get my hands one these 160 mpg Honda unicorns or other high MPG Honda motorcycles but I can?t find them here in the states. PLEASE add to the list. Thank you - Brent


From what I have found here are some:


Honda rebel 250 -- averages 70 MPG --

Honda nighthawk 250 (CB250) -- averages 70 MPG --

Honda XLS 250s Degree -- averages 71 MPG --

Honda CMX 250 -- averages 75 MPG --

Honda XL 185 -- averages 75 MPG --

There is only onen single entry for fuel consumption for that 160 mpg honda since last June, I think it's safe to say that it is a fluke. :thumbdown:

I, too, would like to see more records. wouldn't be the first time someone here only posted good news rather than complete records to bump the avg up.

I don't know which models are available in the US, though. But if you have a list of the available models, you can look them up here. I'd look for ~125cc for best FE. Yes, that CBF125 is really good - though I have hard time believing that 160+ mpg is a valid 'real world usage' figure.

Sorry guys about the 160 mpg . I guess something wrong with the sitting , I am working on it, my 2014 Honda CB500X give me 82 MPG, I full up 3 times after free full tank from the dealer.
My first full up odometer was 190 miles added 3 gallon,
My second full up odometer was 437 mills added 3.7 gallon,
My last full up odometer was 679 miles added 3.2 gallon ,
I don't know why I get the wrong MPG number on fully .com

You will need to enter the amount of miles between fills, not total miles since tracking with Fuelly.

Thank you very much hoopitup that was a big help, it works doing around 60 MPG.

I am trying to get some help in getting more MPH then what I am getting can anyone help?:angel:

You mean MPG right? Well its not what you drive, it's how you drive it, getting good economy relies almost entirely on driving style, the rest is down to weather, servicing, tyre pressures etc.

I dont ride bikes so I cant give as much help as others, but I should imagine the priciples are similar, change gear early, keep the revs low, skip gears if possible. Maitain a steady speed when possible, find your optimum cruising speed. Use the best fuel you can get as it will burn more efficiently etc. I am always surprised by the economy of bikes, they are not as good as you would think.
