Where to get scrap metal?

I want to get some metal and make a bracket for my coil.

The bracket looks like this:

I went to home depot the other day and saw no metal for sale anywhere. Am I missing something? Shoudl I try walking up and down the isles at Lowe's or Sutherlands? What about ACE Hardware?

Would something like this be easy to make? Any suggestions?

Do you have the dimensions?

Do you have the dimensions? Can it be alluminum? I can get small pieces of alluminum from where I work. The design looks simple enough to bend up in a bench vise.

I can get dimensions. I had to destroy my previous one while removing it. The only guy I can find who sells them wants $60 for it with a used coil. He says they don't come seperate.

He also wants $45 for this:

I figure I can fabricate something like this up as well.

I am planning on going to the junkyard today and hope to find suitable replacement parts. I won't find something for the same car, but I'm hoping that some of Honda's earlier cars will have similar parts.

Another few pictures of the coil bracket (from a how-to online):

If I can't find anything today I can get dimensions to you. I also agree with you on the simplicity of the design.
