Hi Guys,

Yesterday I picked up a brand new Mitsubishi GX3H Outlander PHEV and entered my first fuel up with a clock reading of just 39 miles :)

I live in Prestatyn, North Wales right by the seaside and run my own web development company (part time)

Looking forward to finding out how to drive the PHEV efficiently with the help of fuelly :D

Hi - i'm interested to see what the real world mpg of this vehicle is, thanks for joining it up!

Hi welcome, I live just down the road from you! I too am interested in the MPG of this car, as it's advertised at getting 148 MPG, these plug ins get very bad press in the UK for grossly exsadurating the economy figures. Happy fueling, look forward to the results!

yeah, I'm quite interested too lol.

It was great today as we nipped out to my mum's and then took her for a spin. It hadn't used a drop of fuel until I said about how well it picks up and promptly floored it. We were at 80 in no time and the engine stopped as soon as I relaxed the accelerator.

Loving the car so far :)

We're off to Yorkshire for a break at the end of the month so that will be a good test for it :)

Love your photos btw Draigflag :D

Update after first refuel

Hi guy,

I've biw got 358 miles on the clock and just topped up the fuel tank with 13.98 litres

My avg MPG is 103. Not bad for the first few weeks of getting to know the car :)

Draigflag 05-20-2015 11:04 PM

Sounds good, but why did you top up so soon? Or does the car have a tiny tank?

Also are you using trip or odometer reading? I noticed your first fuel up has 0 miles registered.

benlovesgoddess 05-20-2015 11:11 PM

103 mpg in a big 4x4, nice! The only way i could come close (in cost, if not true mpg) would be to run our Honda CRV on heating oil!
