Never heard about it until the news started reporting kids getting picked up and kidnapped by posting personal info there. I think the Yahoo Profile is enough.

It's actually a very ingenius idea. Everyone wants to have their own website, but most people can't write web pages. MySpace is essentially a personalized homepage (or "space") for everyone. It lets you post pictures, blogs, your favorite songs, and network with friends.

oh, and the guy who wrote it sold it for a BUNDLE of money.

they real key is networking. its more convenient than email, and if your aquainted with someone through a mutual friend you can contact that person through your friend's 'friends list'

facebook is another popular one which is more oriented to networking through schools(highschool and college)
