the 2006 rule book is online this year:
here is the rule book:) you only get bumped into street mod for engine swaps, forced induction, and brake upgrades anyway.

here are the pax indecies:

Cool, thanks for the info. Basically I removed the air intake silencer (years ago) and now have the HAI hooked-up, which by rules puts me in STS. I'll probably develop a separate pipe or diverter to draw in cooler air (lately the intake temps have been registering as high as 165F), otherwise, the power is killed dramatically.

My only concern is the PCV catch jar. The STS rules state that the PCV system may not be altered in any way other than its straight, pass-through design (technically it does, but it collects the gunk). This might get me -- otherwise, I'm not worried. If I get my wife to get out there I think we'll have some fun - not looking to win any trophies. A friend just bought a '97 Boxster super cheap (lucky bum), maybe I can get him out there -- he could use the practice 8)

if its in question then they usually let it slide, especially if it doesnt look flashy or anything. i could probably run dsp and they wouldnt say anything about it until i swap on bigger brakes. either way, nobody is going to make a stink about you running sts, especially if your new.
