I see you're from Houston? ;) The last I heard, Houston has worse air pollution than Los Angeles.

Stop EV subsidies? Like the US$600 BILLION worth of US gov't subsidies handed to the oil industry in 2015?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_subsidies

According to that Wiki article, oil industry subsidies by all gov'ts worldwide are responsible for a 21% INCREASE in air pollution and 55% of air pollution-related deaths.

I would love to live in an area like that town DF. Does it even have a traffic light? Wife could never stand it due to proximity to a WalMart

Family friend lived near Columbus Ohio. Worth about 50 million now. Owned the property close to 200 years. Gov't paid them to NOT grow stuff. I would prefer to have the subsidy money pay off the debt. Never got one myself, so I would be biased.

No traffic, no traffic lights, no stress, no problem!

I can't find anything from Volvo saying that they will stop ICE cars in 3 years time? Is there anything else out there that confirms this?

They recently, 2-3 years ago, invested a lot of money on a new engine configuration with very high pressure injectors and turbos etc, which only arrived in some cars in 2015, these engines would have been designed to continue in production for a long time, probably 20 years to provide the payback on the investment.

I would have to say that until a manufacturer the size of Volvo has 80-90% of it's cars electric, they won't be making any plans to drop ICE cars.

Personally, I see the trend for Hybrids increasing dramatically and then they will start to shift the bias of power from ICE to Electric, and eventually the ICE becoming redundant.

Oliver.

I got that detail off the YouTube video, Oliver.

By American journalism standards THAT should be credible enough.
