Bugs should be reported via the app, but we should also be able to discuss things here as well. Maybe others are having the same issues and have found fixes or workarounds.

I received the email, signed up via the link, and got the update 15 minutes after sign-up.
I followed the directions in the email and synched up with my Fuelly profile.
I noticed that it created a second copy of my car on Fuelly. Not a big deal, as it had everything that my original had, so I retired it on the site.
I did a fill-up that I had been saving, and it synchronized to Fuelly with no issue.
Looking good so far. Thanks to Fuelly for this long awaited functionality!

Yes, we also have the aCar Beta forum specifically for the beta testers. It receives more attention than the regular forums.

So, I finally got the 5.0 app.

Starting to classify each car,but hits the wall, when asked for a "Submodel". My cars submodel is not in the list, so i would like to add it manually. BUT! When trying to add "Sol 2.0 VVT-i", the app will not allow me to enter a the dot sign. Actually i cant enter any speciel signs. No comma, no dot, or any other speciel signs.

Please use this link: Fuelly - Track and Compare your MPG to request your model/submodel. Also, if you include the engine details - liters/cylinders/fuel type, etc, I can add that on the Fuelly side so you and select it from the list.

joepoid - on your duplicate vehicle, I noticed that one was added to Fuelly this month (sync) and one was added in 2011.

Were you tracking in both aCar (pre-sync) and Fuelly? Or were you tracking in just Fuelly (possibly from Gas Cubby) and the vehicles doubled upon trying to sync.

In the app, the expense records appear with the km, but not in the fuelly, which makes the total value of the kilometers traveled is different!

Just to the left of your username, near the top of the page, you will see a drop down box, please select the appropriate fuel efficiency setting.

I have this box in L / 100km, as well as the ACAR app, the problem is in the app I have 157 registers and a total of km traked of 83373km, in fuelly I have only 73187km.

I think the problem is that in the fuelly is not to consider the km of the records of expenses only the fuel-up.

"Been running it for the last few days and I could save my data to my sdcard/cloud, which I could not do with the previous version. Guess it's due to the permission system.

Also I could sync my car to fuelly.com as well. So far so good with the beta app."

Why is the icon for trips railroad tracks but in the application dashboard it's a road? Also I can no longer do a full backup it did send in bug report on this

I hadn't noticed the difference in icons.

To do a full backup, excluding the automatic backups, please go to Settings - Cloud Sync & Local Backup and logout of Fuelly. Then, you may create a backup file.

Tried that still no luck on backup.

Yes, I was tracking in both places, so that's likely what happened.

Hey there, I'd like to become a beta-tester too, considering I have an experience in Beta-testing for multiple gaming server communities where I have tested the script. Also I write little software essay for college students as well so I have knowledge about scripting. I can let the developer know the exact code where he can find the bug & fix it.

I'll be happy to add you to the beta tester list, however, I am going to wait until the next update is released.

Our most challenging thing has been syncing user data with Fuelly. Most of the beta users have synced without issue, but not all. The developer has been working to correct the issues.

The next update should be released in the next few days. When released, I will send you an email with instructions and the opt in link.

Yes, I will send you the opt in link and instructions when we release the next update. I expect that the update will be released tomorrow. The developer is in a "later" time zone, so I may be early Thursday before I send you the info.

In your Fuelly profile, I see that you have a Yahoo email address. I know that it is possible to use other emails with the Play Store, but it is not very common. I will need the email associated with your Play Store account. You may PM that to me.

I did verify that you are added to the list in the Play Store.

Cost per litre bug?
 

I've been synching aCar with Fuelly for a little while now and thought everything was going well.
I noticed today however, that the cost per litre on the Android app was being displayed incorrectly. Confusingly the cost on Fuelly is correct.
I know I input the correct cost per litre on my phone, so it must be an issue with data being synced back onto my phone incorrectly.
Oddly enough the fill up I did today seems to be correct, so is this a problem on a previous beta that has been corrected since?
If so how can I correct it so my phone data is correct.

That is caused by a bug in the app. It is converting the price per litre to price per gallon.

It will be corrected with the next update. The next update should be out late this week.

Glad I don't have to correct manually!

If you attempt to correct the data manually, it will be divided by 3.7854 when the update is released. :)

Still the same after an update to 5 beta 17.
Post 10 April show the gallon value whilst fill ups after 23 April seem OK.
Do I have to delete and re install then re sync?

Marty, logout and login with aCar. That should correct the old entries.

Hi all,

Didn't notice this before, but now after doing my second sync to fuelly.com I noticed that my data that I exported to an csv file is doubled up.

Meaning the records recorded for a fuel up appeared twice.

When I went into the app I noticed I had two cars of the same name and then made sense why the info was doubled up.

Sorry if I'm reporting a know problem again.

Oh it appears twice on the fuelly page as well.

That is something that we're working on. Please delete the duplicate vehicles. If you are logged out (involuntarily), when you login again, the vehicles will duplicate. We are working to prevent that.

I would assume that your about thru with the beta, but I would love to join it.

I've been using aCar for over 3 1/2 years and really like it.

Just purchase a new car and would love to try your beta.

I've done many betas and will respond with honest answer to any surveys or questions.
