Testing Exhaust Systems on my CRX
Well, I've got two exhaust manifolds already, stock and Civic CX/VX/STD/HF.
Jared will gimme his stock D16Z6 header to test, so that's three. Anyone got any laying around they want tested, or any suggestions in particular for me to do while testing? I don't mind doing stuff like modifying the one that isn't as good a bit to see if I can improve it, just don't wanna **** up the good one. :) |
I'm glad you're going to do
I'm glad you're going to do this. I might have time to do this myself, but I can't be sure.
If anything we can use it to test the location of hte o2 sensor on fuel economy. waiting for the supermid might be best though so you can just do a few runs and we can compare the numbers. |
open header should be
open header should be tested

Right now I'm just going to
Right now I'm just going to be doing headers since I have a few and can borrow a few for free/cheap.

Don't you need a different
Don't you need a different cat for the HF/VX manifold? I thought they're placed in the engine bay compared to under the car for the standard header setup.

Bump. To go with the current exhaust discussion.:p

Well, my testing of this swap was plagued by alternator failure so I said screw it, have had the vx exhaust on for a bit and it seems to warm up more quickly/get higher cruising numbers, but that's just bs, no serious testing has taken place. Will be putting the cx head on this week so Iono if I'll be testing anything unless someone finds me something to.
