Stating your location and a rough idea of gas prices help too.

According to fuelly, my 2009 328xi (18 MPG lifetime average) near Chicago costs me $0.146 per mile to drive.

My previous car, a 1997 Accord EX (22.5 MPG lifetime average) was $0.174 per mile to drive.

It's funny how when I had a more fuel efficient car, gas prices were higher (around $3-4 per gallon) and when now when I have a thirstier car, they were lower (around $2 per gallon) :whistling:

Over the time I've owned the FEH, my fuel cost has been $0.095/mi, but currently it is $0.069/mi

Houston area, $2.15 a gallon, a little under 8 cents per mile.

6.7 cents per mile ... US

7.4 cents/mi.

Car just got hauled to the recyclers though, so it'll likely be lower now that I have something equally efficient, and possibly more so, and don't have high fuel prices to skew it upwards.

East Texas, USA.

$0.162 per mile in Wisconsin. A few years ago it was hovering around $0.23 a mile. That statistic woke me up and I started driving a lot less!

I'm at 4.4 cents per mile for the 25,000 miles I've had this Mazda3. I'm very pleased with this car.

6.2 cents per mile for my accord. Cheap Georgia gas! $2.04 per gallon avg price, plus my well over EPA avg mpg of 33.2.

First tank in my Honda came out to 4.7 cents. That one's riddled with fill error and I expect to get better fuel economy as I get more comfortable with the car, so that could really go either way...

Over the past year it has cost £0.105 per mile, which at the current exchange rate is

5.2 cents per mile in my 2015 Corolla 6 speed manual. I have a life time average mpg of 51.4 mpg.
This is based on gallons.

First fill on the bike, 113.2 miles on $2.40 worth of regular gas, 91.8 MPG.

I feel sorry for those Harley Hog owners who can't get better mileage than I do.

Got some fuel ups in for my new car: My 2017 Civic LX Hatchback (35.9 MPG average so far) costs $0.057 per mile to drive. City driving with a road trip mixed in which involved moving my stuff. Two fuel ups were in the South with cheaper gas.

4.9 cents/mi in my Civic. With a couple thousand miles on it, I can feel pretty certain in that.

Should get better now that I've replaced the valve cores on it and can inflate the tires from the 15-25psi they were at (!). And I should note that cost also included shuttling the kids around for a day or two not paying attention to my fuel economy...might come out under 4.5 cents soon enough.

Hi Draigflag, I would say around 80-90% of the mileage is hypermiled. It's really not difficult here though; it's quite flat where I live and the main variable is wind. My daily commute is 52km each way, half autobahn, half straight country lanes with the odd village/traffic light. Heading home I regularly get around 100mpg but this is unfortunately offset by going to work into the prevailing westerly, other trips and the fact my girlfriend also uses the car occasionally :eek::lol:

HeHe, I had a 1965 Honda Cub 50 that did 170 MPG on the original engine and carburetor. I used an empty quart oil container to measure the consumption which was significantly less than 1 ounce per mile (128 MPG) Riding that down the side of a 55-45 MPH road with no pavement to the right of the travel lanes was a little to risky for me. I think it would actually do about 42 MPH.

Same bike as the "You meet the nicest people on a Honda bike" advertisements of the early 1960"s when Honda first started inporting them into the US.

That consumption today would be about 1.2 cents a mile, almost the same that 33 MPG cost 50 years ago when I was in high school (grad 1968).

I had a C90 and a Melody, both project, back in the early 70s. The C90 engine and gearbox, stripped completely, kicked about the kitchen floor for several months. How my Mrs put up with it, I don't know. Must have been young love!

I answered this with a different vehicle. Fuel is up several cents a gallon and my all local mpg is down a tick so about 9.5 cpm now.
