Fuelly API

How about a fuelly API? I would be interested in creating a BlackBerry application and maybe a little widget for my website/blog that shows my last fuel-up.

We've talked about adding an API, and it's something we'll probably do soon. But we need to work out a method for authenticating before posting fuel-ups via an API.

If you want to write a widget for your blog, we have RSS feeds of your most recent fuel-ups. Just go to your car profile page and look for the feed icon under the recent fuel-ups table.

If you haven't already, I would take a good look at OAuth for API authentication. It is one of the leading authentication protocols used by the likes of Google and many others. Plus there are plenty of client libraries already out there to make it even easier. https://oauth.net/

If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Thanks for pointing out the RSS feed. I will look into using that in the mean time.

Thanks!

Any word on this API? Auth could be as simple as HTTP Basic Auth over HTTPS. No need for OAuth.
