There's one on Auto Trader, at the moment.

Seems there's a lot of good iron out there. I do almost wish there were more shared standards for fuel economy and safety which would allow automakers to more easily sell in more places. Playing the currency game is harder, though. If I'm being truthful, there's a lot of quirky stuff I'd be eager to sniff around. Euro cars of course are really neat, but heck, Tatas, Mahindras, Ssangyongs, even Ladas and such...some is trash, some is hidden gold. Just wish consumers could decide for themselves.
While we're at it, please, Americans, quit doing this SUV thing and fall in love with wagons as hard as I have for most of my life. |
There are some tasty French wagons, or estates as we call them here.
This is the Peugeot 508 RXH which is a diesel hybrid 4x4. Love the way it looks. https://images.parkers.bauercdn.com/p...ug_508_rxh.jpg Also quite like the new Megane estate GT seen below. https://www.topgear.com/sites/defaul...?itok=CY4pwUjP |
We'll compromise and call them longroof cars :) or just go French and call 'em Breaks!
That Peugeot is rather handsome... |

The 508 is seriously nice looking. Having a frame of reference limited by U.S. options it reminds me a bit of Volvo, another seriously nice looking line of cars.

Very similar to the Volvo. They stick the aero numbers in the computer and it churns out a shape. After that it is just interior, lights, trim, and badges, that makes them different.

I like wagons a lot as well. I think wagons are coming back in the US and Canada. Car And Driver did an article on comparing an SUV Mercedes GLE 43 to a wagon Mercedes E400 4Matic. The wagon was better in every way except back seat space, and off road ability. The wagon even had more cargo volume as well and both cars were the same price.
Total US car sales in the first 6 months: Cars: 8,456,896 Out of those 110,030 were wagons (1.3%) -Subaru Outback: 86,253 -Volkswagen 16,131 -Volvo 3,951 -Audi 1,383 -Mercedes 1,157 -BMW 1,155 My favorite is the Volvo V90 in red, the normal one, not the lifted cross country. The normal wagon is a special order and so far in 2017 Volvo only sold 14 in the US; very rare. |
I'd have very seriously considered that exact car if I'd been born rich instead of so good looking.

Really like the idea, look and design of this. If it ever made it to production, I'd probably buy one if it were reasonably priced.
