Here is another beautiful car just about to hit the market. Just look at that interior. I can see this selling well in the US as sedans or saloons as we call them here are a popular genre in the states.
Plug in Hybrid electric version arriving next year too! https://youtu.be/XT_qC-e0Fu4 |
Sedan sales have dropped here as people shift to SUVs and crossovers.
|
Same here, and most of the sales of these cars are business buyers, most of whom opt for German marques.

Yes sedans are the sales reps preferred choice. There will be a station wagon or estate version too. Interesting, 95% of the current 508 have been diesel.
|
Wagons were rare here even before SUVs took over. Cadillac might be the only non-European brand still offering one. Subaru has the Outback, but killed the Legacy wagon because of poor sales.

The Fit (Jazz) seems really nice for the category, still haven't driven one yet. If it were in budget range it would be on the list (2015 and up), for some reason I can't bring myself to like the older ones that many enthusiasts think are legendary.
So UK posters - are Peugots reliable? As far a style that DS7 would be hard to match at many price points. It has serious character. The whole aesthetic is space-age, new wave layered type of design. If it were in the U.S. the least it would get would be a lot of attention. There is a market at a higher price point where exclusivity is still a first. |
Yes Peugeot have come a long way in recent years, as have many marque's. I wouldn't have bought one 15 years ago, but now, depending what survey you read, they're actually 9 places above Honda for reliability. According to reliability index, who issue warranties on used cars, Peugeot are 14th which is above average and respectable. Seems to be the German brands that are slipping.

The link you posted actually has Honda in 2nd place!

That's wild. Then the U.S. EPA and other agencies need to work with non-domestic brands to bring them here. Honestly no matter how many sources preach on certain cars I still won't buy certain makes and models. Not against them outright, they just lack the "it," factor. Peugot seems like a high marque. |
