iOS Notifications?

Does Gas Cubby for iOS have notifications? I see the "reminders" function, and it does show reminders within the app, but I have to actively search for those. And when on the Windows desktop if I log in to Fuelly I do see the overdue reminders, but again, I have to look. Is there a notification system to alert me to an upcoming or overdue reminder?

Yes, Gas Cubby does have notifications that appear in your iPhone's notification center.

To make sure your notifications are enabled, go to your iPhone's Settings -> Notifications and make sure they are turned on.

They're turned on for Gas Cubby but no notifications are coming. Do I have to be tracking mpg with the odometer? I'm using trip miles, and trying to set up notifications using time.

If tracking by Trip Distance, reminders can only be set by time, not distance. The reminders will alert at the appropriate time.

We do have some reminder enhancements due to be released in an update this week.

The reminders *are* being set by time. They do show up on the desktop but no notifications in iOS. It's not working. Will the enhancements fix this? I'm hoping they do so I can switch all my auto records to GasCubby.

Yes, the enhancements should fix that if the reminder notification isn't working.

Looking forward to it!

At this time, we are awaiting Apple to complete their review process. We were hoping to release this on Monday...still waiting.

Has this been fixed.. 2017 with latest updates, yet I still don't see any notifications.

mike_n 12-05-2017 04:03 PM

I haven't seen an update yet, still waiting.

So I seriously think Fuelly's site has a notification problem. In my user control panel it's set to instantly send me an email whenever someone replies to a thread I started or replied to...yet BeemerJoe's response above did NOT generate an email. I checked my spam folder top to bottom, not there.

Fuelly's site admins may wish to investigate. At this point I just can't trust it with my maintenance data enough to know it will send a notification to my phone. I'll see what happens when they release the promised update, but for now...nope.

I installed the newest version, 3.2.1, build 1725. Notifications still don't work. :(
