The hottest hatch?
They claim one of these is the hottest hatch, at least in the United States.

Hot hatches never really caught on in the US like they did over here which is a huge shame because they tick almost every box if a dream list were to exist. I can't imagine life without one from now on, you get your every day comfort practicality and economy but then the epic performance is just a squeeze of the right foot away when you need to overtake or have fun on the weekend. It saddens me that there aren't more offerings in the states.

Yeah, they just aren't too popular over here for some reason. It's too bad. It would be nice if there were more available.

They might show up. Hatchbacks aren't doing as poorly as sedans in today's market. Some people have realized you don't need a truck for hauling stuff.

I kinda like the sporty appearance of Type R.

Type-R would be my choice, hands down. Had a good look at one the last time I was at the Honda dealer. He tried hard to get me to go for a test drive, but at 71 it is a bit "young" for me. There are quite a few round here, and they look and sound the part.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say, I don't mind the side profile, but the huge fake plastic front and rear vents just ruin it and make it look cheap in my opinion. I already have my dream hot hatch, not the quickest, but probably one of the best power/weight ratios in its class because its so light, which also translates to better fuel economy, handling and less wear on tyres brakes and suspension components.

Of the two I like the VW a bit more. Not sure what I'd want if all the cool ones from around the world were available here but Peugeot and Renault would be high on the suspects list I'm sure.
