Peugeot 508

Like it! The green accents add character and beauty.

It is really good looking. I especially like the wagon. Saloon in Europe?
|
The "Wagon" would be called an Estate here in Europe. BMW would class it as a Tourer but that is BMW. The image at the top of the article is a Saloon.
|
Yes! Thank you. Sedan is Saloon and Wagon is Estate. I knew that somewhere but sadly many of the labels in my brain filing system have faded out through the years and sometimes take a while to restore.

The reason I was so confident in my answer is it says it in the first line of the article.
"First previewed at the 2019 Geneva motor show, the Peugeot 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered has been revealed in both saloon and estate forms." My brain system was defragged about 10 years ago and since then nothing is where I can find it. Especially names and even common words. I find that the harder I look the less they come to mind. Then several hours later they spring to mind. I even forgot my debit card pin the other day. A number I have used almost every day for 30 years. Standing in the supermarket like a fraudster. Luckily I had another card I could remember! |
HA. I guess I should have read the article instead of just looking at the pictures. :) I know exactly what you mean. People think I'm having an epiphany when I get the AHA look on my face. Only problem is it's because I've remembered the word or whatever from something totally different a few hours earlier not had the brilliant idea for the current topic. :)

For that stunning look and horsepower, I wouldn't want any other car in my garage.

There's a standard 508 around here, it looks so mean and aggressive, has a hunkered down aggressive stance and looks evil with those cold white LED fangs. For me, the Peugeot Sport version talked about here would only emphasize these characteristics. Litterly my dream car, awesome power and economy in one package, and enough full electric range to see me through the week, and then unleash it all come the weekend. I respect car makers like Peugeot for making hybrids fun and powerful and not just boring emission regulation compliance vehicles. Cars that people want to own.

Well guess the Engineered by Peugeot Sport version is off my wish list, at a staggering €66,000 ish or $80,000 USD, I can imagine even the most loyal of loyal hardcore Peugeot fans will struggle to justify such a price. I'm guessing this will be an extremely rare car!
