until the gaslog is back and running...
the last tank i got is just too killer for me to misplace it or something, so i figure the best thing to do is start a thread so we all can archive our recent accomplishements until the gaslog is back.
346.4 miles 8.576 gallons which brings me to 40.392mpg W00T!! and for some reason it feels like my car has been pulling pretty hard recently... |
SG says its 42 mpg, im hoping that number is higher not lower than the actual number!
20% highway, 80% city. |
Well its been a long time since I've been around, but I'm back for a few... I got the little CRX project back up and running (kinda). I did my first test of mileage this last week, with stock suspenion (so it looks lifted cause the car is so light), check engine light (3 codes left), and some wide tires. The results weren't all that bad though, 210 miles using 3.37 gallons, so about 62 MPG! Not too bad really. When I get more time, I'm going to put some better tires on it, lower it about 3 inches and fix the check engine lights. Hope all is well around the board!

Bunger, check out my project thread...I hate you, that's the d15z1 crx, right?
Anyway, filling up tomorrow I think, need to find the rest of my birthday money. |

Ran out of gas
and the Scangage said I still had 24 mi left. End result, I had to adjust the Scangage fuel consumption to the actual amount of fuel used.
The tank was about 100 mi of highway and the rest suburban 489 mi 12.87 including the gas I put in the gas can 37.99 mpg actual |
trip to LA for pasports. 172mi. 4.479 gal. = 38.4 mpg. thats the best yet w/o help form anyone else.
cant wait to see what obd1 brings me:D |
noice. right now im just over a half tank with 190miles... looks like another 40+mpg tank for me. i cant wait to chart it out :)
|
Heh, I got 313 miles and 9.379 gallons for 33.4 :D First time I've got over 30... im so stoked
|
Yay, good job danno, how'd you do it?
|
340.9miles / 8.533 gallons
to tired to figure it out. i think its 39 and change. they turned the traffic lights on in the island i live on and when they are on i hit at least 5 going off and 5 coming home... thats why i think its sub 40mpg |
I can't believe you drive the way you do and get that mileage.
On another note, you're scary. |

i dont understand statement 2. is it the strong amount of confidence i put in my suspension or breaks or clutch that scares you? or is it my 'chuck norris, kill you with my bare hands, physique' hahahaha |
While you are an attractive person I would not say I fear for my life because of your brawn...
No, you've got a scary bone structure, in the face, that is. |

Yes, unfortunately (I don't care, actually) I'll never see them.

well I was wondering what happened to the gaslog!
I coulda swore I saw it on here earlier. lol. I just did my "initial" tank on my '90 civic sedan/multipoint. Redlined it a few times, idled for probably 2 hours over the tank of gas and generally was not driven efficiently... 650km, 39l = (if I did the math right) 406.25MI and 10.06 gallons for 40.38 MPG.. I did the math wrong the first time I added and only got 37MPG because I used 0.6 instead of 0.625 to convert km to miles.. I think 40.38MPG is pretty damn good for not even trying to drive efficiently or anything! This tank of gas I'm going to see what driving technique can do for my milage, and try and not let the car idle/etc nearly as much. I also discovered that in reverse I actually get negative MPG since the engine is using fuel and the odometer is going backwards! |
That negative bit might be the part I never understood about why people hate going backwards, :p
|
The gaslog will be up tomorrow. THE garage and gaslog won't be 100% (many features won't be available) but we'll be able to add and edit gaslog entries without a problem.
I'm so excited :) |
