Such a shame that EVs only have a top speed of 109 mph.
In the US the fastest you can legally drive is 85 mph on Texas State Highway 130.
In the UK the maximum speed is 70 mph. Even Germany with their Autobahns have an 80 mph advisory limit.

Good comparison. People always brag about EVs being "fast" sure they are more responsive, and Tesla's accelerate quickly. But honestly, your average EV is not fast at all. The Renault kangoo EV takes something like 18 seconds to get to 60, and things like the VW up take 12 seconds. I find it frustrating that the power I want is around 40-50 MPH for overtaking slow drivers, and most EVs are flat out of power at that speed. I'll admit sometimes that I drive excessively over the limit if I'm overtaking 4+ cars at a time because I think it's safer to pass them as quickly as possible when there's oncoming traffic...

Also, I'd like to add, I'm not anti EV, I love EVs and have been in and driven a fair few. I am considering moving house and if I do, my commute will be 70 miles per day. I will definitely buy an EV then, no questions asked, and the place I'm hoping to move to, despite being a small town, has 2 free local rapid chargers.

The Kangoo Crew van is a bit of an anomaly. 59 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque. 32 kWh battery (useable). Just a glorified milk float. Even the lowest powered Zoe has almost twice that bhp.

According to the link, EVs are quicker on average 30 - 50 mph than ICE cars.
