Saw one of these on the weekend. Great looking car, but stupidly overrated which has pushed up prices. Some are close to £40,000 now, ridiculous. I'd still prefer the new Hyundai i20N, better all round car in my opinion.

It seems insane prices are more and more the norm.

Yep, if I'd have known the prices of cars would rise this much, I would have bought a few as investments. Houses are even worse, the price of a house here in the UK has become a starting bid with people offering much more than the asking price. It's crazy...

Wouldn't it be nice to go back and buy a 427 Cobra for $7495 or a hemi Cuda convertible for around 5 grand? And several other dozen cars from back then too.

I would buy a fleet of Peugeot 205 GTI's, back in late 90's/early 00's, you could pick them up for less than £1000, they were common as dirt. Now you're looking at close to £10,000 for an average one, and close to double that for a mint one. Many believe the 205 was a far better hot hatch than the golf in its day.

Sounds like a warehouse full of mint 205's would have paid for itself with a good bit left over.
