Fuelly Forums - Bardhal Oil treatment

Just signed on to share a hot tip. Buy direct or through Amazon. Bardhal 1 is less than $3 a treatment, and should give you 10%~15% better mileage. Apparently they stopped carrying #1 in Autoparts stores a few decades back, because it’s so cheap from the manufacturer in Seattle. I learned about it at an auto show in the 70s. If your car is burning oil, try Bardhal 2, probably still in the auto stores.

I love my 2015 6-speed manual, bought used. Once I added the Bardhal my mileage jumped, first oil change. Now I see how good I can do, still looking for a long road trip, and an optimal speed. About a 2.5 hour trip at speed gave me 40.1 avg, and 69 mph avg., 2,400 rpm at 95 mph. An extra hour at the beginning (ttl 3.5 hours) minimal forward progress. I really liked the car before, but after such an economical speed cruse… Farfagnugen 💨

Not many flat or straight roads near me, but somewhere between 55 mpg and 80 mpg at 80 mph, about where I’m guessing the turbo is helping more. Most of my driving is local.
