Spike lug nuts?

A quick question, folks. I have recently got a RAM2500 as a truck for work. I plan a couple of mods for it, and one of them is adding spiked lug nuts to it. So my question is to those, who had spike lugnuts on their vehicles. Did you notice any inconvenience from this mod? And what material is better to pick, aluminum or stainless steel? Thanks.

Giant lawsuit waiting to happen to someone. I'd pass on them.

Wow, really? I've read that they are legal as long as they are not longer than 2 inches and if they are removable. Yet maybe laws in different states differ though...

I don't know that they are illegal, just that someone is going to get hurt by them and sue over it. Same with the wheel covers that stick way out. Just another potential lawsuit.

Different laws in different states. If they protrude past the body panels (same with any other part of the wheel), they would be illegal in my state since they could harm pedestrians.

What is "conduct a proper experiment" supposed to lead to? It goes to some thread about adding motorcycles.

The law goes for state to state, go for the spiked lug nuts if that is not longer than 2 inches, also confirms that is it legal or not in your state.
