Used car
Two things:
1) I bought a used car, so it already had some miles on it. How do I input into fuelly a new "zero" value, so it doesn't think I got 30,200 miles on the first tank? 2) I've been keeping my own log for the first 3 months before I even knew of Fuelly. Is there a way I can import or input my old data? Thank you |
Which method of tracking are you using? If you're using trip odometer, that just displays the total miles tracked by you on fuelly, and does not correspond to the cars odometer.
The other method asks for the odometer reading, and will ask for the subsequent odometer reading next time you fill up. It will calculate fuel consumption from that and display the odometer reading on the vehicle profile. |
I have just changed my car for another used one. You just put the numbers in as normal (I use the odometer method) and because you have no previous values for this car it just disregards the initial miles and starts to calculate from the next set of figures.

Delete that one. You just select add a fuel up and put in the correct information. The algorithm knows you have no previous miles so it accounts for that. It calculates your future mpg from the odometer reading you entered at the first data point but does not use the petrol you have added in the mpg calculation. Trust me. it works. This is the second car I have added with miles on the odometer.
