Just found this site today

Let me be the first to welcome you to the site!

Your background sounds very interesting and you'll certainly be welcomed here by many people.

Do you have any more specs on the tempo for us? I think you'll find that the biggest modification you can do is in the driving, so good luck!

Don't forget to fill out the garage and gaslog so we can all keep track of you.

I'd also like to welcome you. Sounds like you can teach us a few things. I'm personally excited that you drive a Ford. You're the first Tempo I believe on the site.

Anyway, if you want to import all of your old mileage figures into the gaslog on GasSavers, send me a private message and I'll give you an email address where you can send your notes (hopefully in an excel file, or something like that). I can import it very quickly.

Welcome!

Welcome to GS! Ah, the Tempo. The best benefit, as I'm sure you'll agree, is the economy (but due to a lack of HP). My good friend had his for over 200,000 miles before the sub-frame cracked in two. A welder bought it, put it back together, and it's still going!

I hear they made a Tempo Diesel for a year or two in the U.S. It may be an easy swap if the need arises, and really increase economy and lower emissions. If I'm not mistaken, the Diesel was used in everything from cars in Europe to construction equipment and backup generators. Good luck, and take a look at the GasLog to track your mileage. Feel free to ask any of us questions, or post some brainstorming ideas :)

Another aero-head. This is good. Welcome!

I remember driving the tempo automatic - it had an INSANE ratio difference between 1st and 2nd, if I remember correctly. Though with the numbers you're reporting, I'm sure yours is a manual.

With proper modifications and you knowing almost every aero trick in the book, I can see you breaking 55 mpg.

Another Ford

Another Ford! Welcome, I've just recently purchased a Festiva which I should be registering this week (I'm selling one of my six cars Sunday). I'll post some mpg figures after I get it on the road and then I plan on some aero mods after working on my driving technique to maximize my "stock" mpg.

SVOboy 08-12-2006 07:16 AM

Sweet information! Hehe, go CRX go!

Mehbe we can bug the site operator to find the information for us, :)

krousdb 08-12-2006 07:51 AM

What information? I can't see anything, just toe error code.
