Help redesign the signatures!

Currently the signature blocks look like this:

https://www.gassavers.org/gaslog/sig.php?id=5

I began redesigning them last night when I realized that many of you can probably do a better job than I can.

So, show off your skills.

here are the requirements:

image size: 300x54

must include:
GasSavers logo (TrueType Font Humanists 521 Extra Bold Condensed)
Vehicle name
% above/below EPA
MPG figure
A way to somehow denote if they are a hypermiler or not.

Winning entry gets a red star next to their name, and no more ads cluttering up your screen.

I suck at any of the design but I can just give you my verbal suggestion.

Vehicle name gets XX MPG
Logo (centered)
% over Epa Hypermiler

Or

Vehicle name gets XX MPG
Logo (centered)
% under Epa

Sorry my computer skills are really lacking but that it what I would design if I knew how.

Best of luck, Jack

Any preference for colors?

Also what are the limitations for the script that creates the images. Can it put background images on it and can it change the font colors.

Maybe having people use their main gallery image sized to fit on the banner would be nice.

Fonts can change, as well as the colors. I can put images/font in the background/foreground with ease.

If you want to use different fonts, make sure they are truetype fonts and that you are able to send me a copy of them.

I also like the idea of including the thumbnail if it can still look good.

Speaking of gallery images, good one Coyote X!

Now I recognize you from teamswift (guess I'm a visual person - didn't clue in on your user name). :)

Hypermiler! would go in the upper right.

That one looks good ketel0ne. I have been playing with the spacing and positioning in photoshop but I really can't find a good way to fit the thumbnail on there with all the other text as well. I am trying to use a 54x54 thumbnail. Any smaller and it is not really useful for an image.

The only thing that looks halfway decent is to wash out the image and put it behind the text. That works to an extent but depending on the color of the car/background might still suck. I will keep messing with it this week and maybe come up with something that looks decent.

I guess I am not good at thinking up a username cause I just put the name of one of my other cars. I should stick a metro drivetrain in that car though, it would get probably as many strange looks as that 500 caddy engine I stuck in it. I wonder if it would get a hypermiler tag :) prob not cause a kit car has no EPA rating. It also only gets 2mpg but only runs 1/4 mile at a time.

Just FYI, I am able to make outlines on the text, so it blending with the background shouldn't be a problem.

I tried text over Matt's, Darin's and a couple of others at 54x54 and the text just gets lost. The avatars are such a huge variable that I am not sure a consistent look for the banners can be acheived in the 300x54 space but

At 354x54 the far right could be the avatar exactly resized from the 100x100

ANyone else? I'll move forward with ketelone's design if no one else is going to offer a suggestion.
