07 civic. Make sure you get a stick. You are always complaining about not having a stick.

My mom just bought an 06 civic and the automatic is piss slow. I heard of 06 civic manuals dx making high 15 second runs. That's stupid fast for a non si model.

Good choice -- I test drove 2, an LX Sedan Manual and an EX Auto. Both cars are amazing improvements over their predecesors. If I had to buy any new car today, it would be the Civic - the EX, Hybrid, or GX. If I had to replace my Integra because it burst into flames or something, for the monetary resources, I'd go for a new Fit manual, or a used Civic manual gasser.

Take note what kind of driving you'll be doing. If you love the action of the stick shift, go for it -- even though the gear ratio is setup to get less FE than the auto, you might be able to try some Hypermiling techniques.

I vote for 06 civic since they'll be cheaper and the r18 is awesome or, better yet, CRX with an R18, you'd be the first and I have a feeling it'd be a mileage beast, especially if you could mate up the hf tranny, :)
