Escalade Vs. Maserati
Hi...this is my first post and I hope I am in the right place....
Just a little about me.... Sometimes when I am bored I like to go into my driveway and rev the engine on my Cadillac Escalade. I am thinking about getting a V8 Maserati with 390 HP so I can go down the highway at 180mph. Not sure what my fuel economy will be at that speed because the manufacture does not publish those specs. But who really cares about fuel economy when you have a Maserati. |
Well fuel economy at 180 mph in a Maserati will be pretty dismal indeed...less than 10mpg
I think you would be the 2nd person in here that only owns an SUV, you are a rare bird. |
I hope this is a joke.

Yeah, I bet he has 24'' rims too.

I think this is the first "taunting" I've read at GS. Congrats, LiberalLoser!
If I were you though, I'd forget about the Escalade. You could have far more fun in an H1 Hummer (diesel), which you could power by rendering all the bunnies, kittens & puppies in your neighbourhood! Think of the statement that would make! They're making biodiesel from chicken processing waste, after all. |
Welcome! You should totally swap a D15B into the Escalade!

Hopefully you will be able to do a better job than this other Loser. https://www.redcrowracing.com/images/...lade%20001.jpg |
Hi theclencher
Nice bit of modern art there. |
The Maserati is an excellent high-mileage vehicle due to its pulse-and-glide characteristics: run at high load for ten seconds to get up to 250mph, then coast with the engine off for half an hour.

My first car that I drove was my Dad's Pontiac Bonneville 1967 or 68 I think - 3 across bench seats front and rear with a trunk you could stuff 8 to 10 bodies into. 325HP 4 barrel 389ci or was it 398ci anyway I used to pride myself on getting 18mpg with it way back in the early 70's.
