Tracking Monthly Fuel Expense

Good Afternoon, I have been tracking my Tahoe on this site and have been very moved by the data. Well done! I was wondering if it was possible to intergrate a bar graph, much like the current one displaying month to month MPG, that displayed total money spent for each month? Simply creating a graph that selected the range from the first through the end of that month and displaying it.

This bit of data would be interesting to track based on trends. For example, Snowboarding season is coming up and I will be making a number of trips to the mountains. I would be interested to know the totals spent during those months. I have seen that current the average is tracked, but the specifics for that month would be helpful for anticipating next season.

Your time and consideration is appreciated!

Great idea, and something we'd definitely like to add to the site. We're planning a Reports feature that lets you assemble reports and graphs based on time periods you specify. Unfortunately, Fuelly is a side project for us, and it's hard to find time to add features to the site.

For now, you might look at the export feature and create your own custom reports yourself in a spreadsheet program. Once all of your fuel-ups are in Excel, it's fairly easy to slice and dice them in various ways. Of course this requires familiarity with Excel, so it's not ideal.
