The only thing tighter to fit into in this class is the Fit. Sorry, but at 6'2" tall, the Yaris is anything but 'roomy'. Perhaps you just have short legs, but even with the seat pegged back, I had to force my legs in. Rear seat passengers don't even have a chance.

I am 6'1", 160 lbs, and it is roomy IMO. I have 3 1/2" clearance with my head and the ceiling, and 5" clearance with my knees and the dash. That is more than enough room for ME. I am taking about the 2 door hatchback, I don't own a four door sedan. I have had only two adults in the back, and they had enough room for the drive. :)

I've had my Yaris for 1year and 9days. I have over 15k miles on the odo. I have found the only problems my tall friends have are the big foot issue. Im sure repositioning yourself on the sit will fix that but I dont wear size 16s like he does lol. My only concern is that a few of the members on the yaris forum reported of the plastic shields melting from heat. I dont remember where they lived, but once replaced it was ok. That and a full tank of windshield wiper fluid goes very quickly in these cars. And the only thing that rattles is the little plastic cover on the driverside vanity mirror, which drives me nuts but its no huge issue like some reviews claim.

Just saw (read about) the first 50+ mpg tank that I'm aware of in a North American Yaris: 52.1 mpg (US)

The Yaris seems to be a car that can and will lay down some good numbers in the hands of good hypermilers.

Seeing that I cant get any good 8th gen Civic competition. I focusing in on Yari. :)

I have a 49 mpg average in my last three tanks, no highway driving. I expect that sometime this summer I will get 50+ mpg.
I have been watching Brian's mpg over at CleanMPG, where I am also a member. We both know how to get the most out of a Yaris 5 sp. manual hatchback. I still wish Honda had something close to the Yaris.

This week I got a 50.8 mpg tank, and my 90 day average is 48.4 mpg. :)
My current tank is running 50+ so far. I am happy!

How about the other Yaris owners? How are you doing?

roadrunner, in what ways do you feel the Fit doesn't... er... fit?

That's one of the vehicles I'm considering for my business (along with the Yaris), so I'm curious as to your views (well, anyone's actually).

Thanks,
Rick

Hey, I got a question. Whats the deal with the yari vs. corolla? corolla is bigger has a bigger engine 1.8 , buts gets better mpg? Shouldn't the yari be getting like 45mpg hwy?
Why did you guys buy a yari instead of a corolla?
