Hi all

Despite being economy minded, I own a Nissan Rasheen - a 4x4 square box on wheels! So far I have it up to 30mpg (imperial) and I hope to squeeze more out of it.

I like the sound of the Super MID as my car isn't OBD equipped. Are these currently available? I'm in the UK.

Hi Mark - welcome to the site.

You've probably noticed there are a few members here with thirsty vehicles who are nonetheless trying to make the most of things. So you're not alone in that regard.

For info about the SuperMID, contact user Yoshi on this forum. He's the person who makes them.

Hi hi, welcome from the UK.

Have you ever considered a switch of car?

markweatherill 01-21-2007 08:56 AM

A switch of car? Yes, several times. And that's how I ended up with my current vehicle...

(I just realised I had messages from Matt and Yoshi waiting - thanks - contact has been made!)

Welcome to the site. The fellow named Red has a Jeep 4x4, so I would read alot of his notes for some specific stuff that he has been doing.

Welcome

Welcome to GS, Mark.

It's good to see members from UK join the forum. I use WhatCar? magazine's website quite a lot to see what kind of vehicles the UK has access to and what we do not (unfortunately we woud like to see more smaller displacement or Diesel vehicles). I look forward to your insight on cars and driving in the UK.

So, tell us more about your Nissan...it looks like the Rasheen is a small SUV with a 4-cylinder petrol engine? Getting 30mpg-Imperial isn't bad for an SUV -- good work! I think with your platform, there is definitely some potential.

What kind of driving do you do mostly -- high-speed Motorway or more 2-lane "A" or "B" roads? Lower speeds and some modifications may be a good way to make improvements.

Foremostly, welcome, and please let us know if you have any additional questions, as we are always here to help.
