96-98 civic hx mt engine wiring harness
i am swapping a 97 civic hx engine into my 89 crx hf. I am going to keep this engine obd2. I have all the parts i need except the 8 pin connector that mates up with 8 pin wide band oxygen sensor used on the D16y5 engine. It must be a civic hx with a manual tranny. if you have a wiring harness (damaged cut or complete) it doesn't matter as long as this 8 pin connector is good). I hope some one has cut off this connector because they swapped out a d16y5 and didn't need to continue to use this sensor. If you know of one please help me out. I can straight wire the sensor but i would rather do it right. thanks johnmccarson@charter.net

changing an obd0 car to obd2 is not a good idea.... MAYBE and i mean maybe if you have underdash wiring harness and the engine bay harness...or you LOVE running wires. good luck.

It don't look to bad i'm useing the stock ecu and wiring harness and all i must wire up is the signals that is not part of the engine and several 12v and grounds . The only reason i need the connector is the engine was an automatic. It used a 4 wire o2 sensor. Speed sensor, fuel system vacuum and clutch is the only signals that are not part of the wiring harness {that i can remember). Then battery and ground! thanks for the advice though Jared. |
so i take it you love wires :)
