Weather

It is amazing to see such great numbers from everyone. It does seem that the change in weather makes a big difference.

I never paid that much attention to notice. :o

692miles, 8.3 gal for 83.4mpg, despite 125miles of rain and wet roads from this latest storm system.

Great job 83.4:eek: . What do you contribute the big spike to?

FAS'ing on even the slightest downhills. Before this I was only FAS'ing on downhills steep enough to maintain speed on. Possibly the lower cruising RPM's I can manage in each gear since I started trying acetone.

Not as much as some of these other people but a milestone for me none the less. I got 29.? on the last fill up which is the highest so far on this car, which I hope to increase. I do mostly short city driving, the increase was due to me changing my thermostat and coolant allowing the car to run at the correct operating temp. Yay!

P.S. The numbers are not yet in the gas log to effect my current numbers I need to get the paper from my car to update the numbers

Why so much driving.

That is very good mileage. Why do you drive so much? You put on a lot of miles quickly.

Finished installing my thermonuclear engine heater, so went out to warm up the cooling system to check for leaks. Hardly anybody on the streets after supper time let me P&G at an average of 18 mph around town for a SG reported 113 MPG (US) round trip over 5.3 miles.

That was without heating up the engine first (had to get the air out of the system before I try it).

Does a 5.3 mile trip @ 113 mpg's even warmup the system enough to check for leaks:p

No, not really :) It was in the mid 100's F range when I got back. It was getting dark, so I wouldn't have been able to see leaks anyway (if there were any).

Tomorrow will be trial by fire when I plug it in, and cause lights to dim all around the neighbourhood...
