Selling the Insight
Well, to make way for the Jetta I have to give on something. The Insight was the loser. :( I really hate to see it go as I know I'll never find one as nice.
Anyway, sent it to eBay, here's the link, go ahead and click. Man, I'm depressed now. |
Wow sweet car sad to see it go:(

Real sad thing is this popped up yesterday on eBay. There hasn't been a green one for sale since December. I've been planning selling all week. Good thing is; mine is slightly nicer, but I am asking a premium price. Reserve is set near a norm. I still can't get over 2 greenies on ebay at the same time. I know that person is going to be mad. Still, that one has twice the mileage as mine.

The 5-Speed!
Wow, a very clean, low-mileage, Florida 5-speed. You shouldn't have any problems selling it for your reserve or better. Sad to see it go as well.
After I drove one last year, I instantly wanted one for myself. But alas, so many cars, so little money  |
My reserve is a bit OVER KBB's value. That's my price and I'm sticking to it. I will not come down due to the color/condition. Alas, it is a gimme that the color is a take it or leave it - love it or hate it color. It took forever for me to find a nice one that color and it really is killing me to let it go, but the need for a bit of cash does outweigh the need for the car. :o

If I had the money, I'd sell my car and buy it from you. Hell, I could probably drive it off personally given that you're in FL :D |
One of the wife's reasons for selling one of the more expensive cars is paying off a huge chunk of bills so we can save up and next year upon the release of the Smart.....buy it outright cash. We've been waiting for a Smart for a while too. I suppose I got my Insight and it is OK to move on, but the car was just so nice and reliable - I loved it. Get's just as much attention as the Corvette or Street Rod but 7 times the mileage.

SOLD!! plus the new owner may become a Gassavers member. He lurked here a little checking out some stuff. Nice guy, said he lost 60 pounds to get within the ACL of the car so both him and his wife can ride in the car. (sorry, aircraft talk - Allowable Cabin Load :)) He's off to a good start on becoming a gasmiser.
Now I guess I have to change my name - once I ship the car I'll no longer be Wazabi Owner. :( |
theclencher- two reasons.
1. I live out in the country, a few miles on a dirt road and I dind't like the car - I LOVED the car! I didn't want to tear it up by driving it everyday down that road. I just couldn't do it. So letting it sit all the time I had to listen to my wife complain which led to her reason for me selling it. 2. $$$$$$$$$$ No, I'm not happy about selling a car I had no problem with and loved. But you don't have to listen to my wife complain everyday about a $9,000 car sitting in the garage not being used. |
