Welcome to GS

There's actually another member here, ELF, who has his Sable up past 30 mpg...

Check out the Garage and Gaslog: The Sable.

He may be able to provide some insight into how to tweak it and drive it.

I'd start with the usuals -- tire pressures, slow cruise speeds to less than 60, use a feedback device like the ScanGauge, etc. As you become more comfortable: aero mods, grille block, and driving style changes can help significantly.

Check out the FAQ/Stickes in the General FE Forum for ideas. If you have any questions, we're here to help :)

Best FE,

Yah, 13 seems low. Anyhow, welcome to the site! Lots of friendly helpful folks here! :)

Welcome to the site! I think you should be able to make that goal!

YeahI got my f e up. I started at the air filter, got a little resault so I then changed the plugs, wires, and fuel filter, and oh yeah tire pressure. I am now getting 25 miles a gallon AVG on the last 4 fill ups. The idle is a bit high though "I think" and the Check engine light is on. is there a way to manally reset the idle with out messing with the computer?

That check engine light might have something to do with your poor mileage if you have an o2 sensor going south. Lots of car parts stores will check the code for free.
