I'm a big guy and I like big trucks. I love my 2002 Chevy Avalanche. I am at 24mpg and still squeezing it for more. I know my truck does not quite fit in, however I have the spirit of limiting the amount of profit the oil companies are taking. My Avy named "trn4mr"(transformer) has a 5.3 vortec that originally showed 17mpg. Now with a condensater, Zmax , acetone, and a new MAF sensor I am at 24mpg. My next mod is an electric fan should be good for 2 more mpg.

Welcome! I'd like to think that your vehicle definately does fit in here. It's in the larger vehicles where we need to make progress, any progress, because going from 17 to 24 mpg will save far more gas than will a car that goes from say 30 to 37. We need more people who think the way you do. :thumbup:

Ever considered picking up an suv hybrid? Is the escape big enough?
