Hi all,
Thank you for your interest in my SuperMID Mileage Computer.

I have been receiving a lot of questions about the SuperMID, so I would like to make this thread to inform everybody understand it.
I would like to update this post as much as possible to tell the latest information.
(Maybe, it is poor today. :) )

* original Japanese site

An English page is coming soon?

* installation

The interface cable color codes are...

* operation
- MENU operations including how to set fuel and distance parameters at the bottom.

https://www3.telus.net/metro/superMID.jpg
You have six buttons.
On the right, they are...
from the top
- MENU
- UP
- DOWN
- ENTER

On the left, you have one button.
It is same as DOWN button and it's good for change display channels.

On the back, you have another button.
It is forced reset switch.
It shoud be used for emergency purpose only, such as SuperMID display nothing when power on.
Please note that your mileage record is saved when you do the power off.
For example, you drove some distance and you had some data, then you pushed the forced reset button, you'll see old date which was on the previous power-off ceremony.
Your data, from power-on to some drive, is gone by pushing the foreced reset button (without power-off ceremony).

* FAQ
  • Q: Does SuperMID work on my vehicle?
    A: It works with a vehicle which has an electric fuel injection system and digital VSS(vehicle speed sensor). Please refer to following post.
    https://www.gassavers.org/showpost.ph...4&postcount=14

  • Q: Where can I find the installation tips?
    A: https://www.crxmpg.com/supermid.html
    https://www3.telus.net/metro/mid.htm

  • Q: When the US MPG or UK Imperial MPG unit version is available instead of Japanese km/L unit?
    A: I'm not sure. :confused: It won't come at least by June 2008, I'll update here when anything happened. The average speed unit is also km/h only now.

  • Q: Does it have backlit capability?
    A: Yes. It has backlit, and it always lights even in daytime, no switch. :)

  • Q: Do you have stock for sale?
    A: I have one Japanese km/L version as of March 13, 2008.

  • Q: How much is it?
    A: It costs 20,000 JP Yen including shipping from Japan.
    (It used to be shown as US dollar, but it was risky for me since USD value is decreasing.)

  • Q: Does the PayPal work for payment?
    A: Yes, it does.

Is the MPH unit still expected to come out somewhat soon?

GasSavers_Yoshi 05-14-2008 08:36 AM

The MPG and MPH version is still on alpha stage.
I'll try to update the status in two weeks.

Will the older units be able to be upgraded to MPH MPG readings?
