tigra aero mods
now I post my pictures of self aeromods.
First modification include rear underbody with a preliminar extractor with 0,4? degree of inclination, and two cover for the fuel tank. The used material of extractor, it is the high density polyurethane (bad for the muffler high temperature ) to need to change with fiberglass in next time. For the tank fuel cover, I've used the polycarbonate about 1,5cm thickness. this is the pics of under rear car previous modification: you can see the bad design, the flow of the air, recirculates and blinks against the posterior bridge https://img214.imageshack.us/img214/8808/pontent7.jpg https://img214.imageshack.us/img214/9016/sxyr5.jpg https://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3817/dxek8.jpg https://img204.imageshack.us/img204/8020/o1mh0.jpg this is the scheme of the cover: https://img161.imageshack.us/img161/9526/tigrafpsp0.jpg now, the pics of job: https://img242.imageshack.us/img242/5074/f1as3.jpg https://img165.imageshack.us/img165/2090/f3yf4.jpg https://img165.imageshack.us/img165/2667/f5nl2.jpg the anchorages of rear extractor: https://img112.imageshack.us/img112/1...oraggioef8.jpg the finished job: https://img112.imageshack.us/img112/57/scivolods0.jpg the rear view: https://img112.imageshack.us/img112/336/retrohb2.jpg . Yesterday, I have constructed front cover and the front deviators like the DRW Job (my mentor https://www.gassavers.org/showthread.php?t=2381:) ) For the moment, I have only cut the materials, but this evening I will make the installation the photos, includes the front engine cover with space for the hot air escape, and preliminary front air deviator for the wheels https://img490.imageshack.us/img490/3...viatorisa0.jpg the air deviator https://img54.imageshack.us/img54/6161/deviatorewe1.jpg excused boys, a question: which name given to the flow shunters? you have of the councils give give to me? an example: now, the front cover, is parallel to ground, but most cars, it have this cover with an angled inclination like this https://www.topclassiccars.com/car-pi...a8-quattro.png |
On the rear, you may want to consider using a more flexible material and tucking it inside the rear bumper to give more complete coverage and smoother air flow under the rear.

Thanks for the writeup! It seems that this aero mod is one of the most common recommendations aside from a grille block. Keep going with the installation and good documentation on what you're doing, and of course the results you find. The more examples we see the better we all will get at doing this in the future.
Don't worry about your english, you're doing fine. Anyone who actively learns another language is better than most. Keep up the good work. |

often, use the translator in order to write, but I try to use it less possible or at least in order to find the errors rougher. But, if you want to correct to me, I will be happy of your councils and I will not take offense myself |
