Metro's thread about relaying a package got me thinking...

What if we start up a thread where we list local j-yard parts/prices/availability since there are undoubtedly different things available to different people. For instance, all the yards around here are really nice, but they strip any decent gauge Copper wire out for scrap so I'm SOL there. Otoh, I probably have plenty of vehicles that may have already been trashed in the rust belt. Maybe a fuel pump is $30 cheaper over in Arizona, or South Carolina, etc... Anyone else think this is worthwhile?

We don't have any decent junk yards ours were all flooded. When I was driving through Mississippi I saw a yard and thought about stopping. I don't think you could list everything in a junk yard. Maybe if you were only doing a certain list of vehicles.

Oh no, the list wouldn't be of all the cars, just the prices on different parts. I suppose I could take an educated guess at the number/types of cars, but yeah, no way I can account for all of them.

ohh jeez, hmm well i got about 10 of em all within 20 minutes of driving... one is fully computer inventoryand will ship anywhere, the others are all by people remembering...lol and the prices, well if you go there often the prices get cheaper... theres no set price. and they dont ship.
