Can "YOU" believe these "NUMBERS" ????? It just keeps getting BETTER !!!!!

Hi,

Man this Accord Hybrid just keeps getting "Better & Better". I just cannot stand it. https://greenhybrid.com/discuss/image...ikons/wink.gif

Just did a very-very long days drive to visit Family in Frankfort, Ky. and that trip was driven from speeds of 65-75 miles per hour on the interstate. We went through Wendy's drive up and then sat in the car and ate lunch with the motor idling. I know if you were one of the Hypermilers you would be going "Crazy-about-Now". But then we drove all over the place and let my Brother which has never seen or been in a Accord Hybrid before today drive it. He did not even notice that when he was coming to the stops that the engine was not running. https://greenhybrid.com/discuss/image...ikons/wink.gif I said hey look at the Tach. !!! He said it says "ZERO", I said yeah the engine is not running until you take your foot off the brake pedal. He said this is high tech, isn't it ??? I said yeah and if you look to the bottom left it says in "Flashing-Green" Auto-Stop. He said I like this car, you cannot even tell when it starts and quits running. Love that Brother. https://greenhybrid.com/discuss/image...kons/teeth.gif

Well that is the story on todays travels with the Accord Hybrid and here are some Pics of the days events from the Trip Computer.

I've got to tell you that this is one heck of a car. It will Go when needed, Quiet inside, Very comfortable, Nice X/M Tunes, and the FE is just GREAT (IMO) in my opinion. If you have not driven one of these Fast-Hybrids I suggest doing so. You will not be Sorry !!!! https://greenhybrid.com/discuss/image...ikons/wink.gif

:D Yeah, you got me on that one, 93 Degrees and high humidity.

But hey, a man has to have his comfort. ;)

Terry
BTW, I guess this would not be the place then to mention the HIGH-SPEED PASSES at over 85-90 MPH.

Hey Psy,

Nice to see a name here I recognize. Psy this is an "AWESOME-MACHINE" and the more I drive it I could kick myself for not going ahead and buying it sooner.

Very quiet on the road and the [POWER] is always just a push of the "GO-PEDAL" away.

Good to hear/read from (YOU). :D

Terry

It's not that I don't hear/read you, but I "HONESTLY" ONLY DO THIS FOR MYSELF.

When I have the time I try to drop by the Forums I am a Member on and post results, but it is far and and few between tanks.

Just do not have the time. On a lot of different types of Sites so it is just not possible.

Have a Nice-Day

Terry

Hondas do alright, I drove a mid 90s accord that would do 35mpg on the hiway.

I know it goes against the FE goal...

I know it goes against the FE goal...

But there's a new black Civic Si 4-door in the neighborhood that tests the limits of temptation (yes, not the traditional "Si" -- but I think the best was the '99-'00 Coupe instead of hatch - I had a '99 and it was the best car I've owned). But, I don't have the need for it :)

Terry-
I haven't known anyone with the Accord Hybrid yet. High 30's are pretty good if you factor-in fun vs. FE. For me, I don't have an area to drive fast without getting busted anymore -- so what's the use? I ask myself. Consequently, my driving style has changed drastically over the last 2 years. I would really have to research emissions, cost vs. feature content, and "driving feel" before I would give up the 'Teg.

Best FE to ya!
