Rev match

Do you guys rev match when putting it back in gear when p&ging. It makes it alot smoother but i was told it could be alot harder on the tranny.

I always rev match. Shock loading is always bad. I can heel and toe quite well.

I do, makes life easier for the drive train

i do when i pop it back into gear after coasting down a hill. i know about what rpm its at given a speed and try to get close to that before i let the clutch back out

I do - much better for the transmission, clutch etc. ;)

I can't see how rev matching is going to do anything but help the drive train and engine engage more smoothly. I don't think I'd be putting to much confidence in the source.

I have had a hard time rev-matching in an automatic transmission, seems to make the car jump worse. Haven't tried too much with my manual but need to work on a few techniques to get my clutch to last longer. :)
