2004 VIBE AWD Checking in...

Hello All

Thought I would take a sec and say hello!!

I have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe AWD and am averaging over 29MPG. Looking to improve this average. All ready doing better than just about all other gas powered AWD vehicles produced. My only so called performance mod so far is a ScanGuage II.

My best MPG Trip was 402.1 miles on 10.991 gallons. or 36.6MPG.
EPA states 26 City 31 HWY.

welcome aboard. it's nice to see a fellow domestic brand owner(not sure where vibes are manufactured tho). no offense to import brand owners.

well, there are many mods you can do as i'm sure you've read about. i am using acetone and a grill block. the most important mod i do (and many here agree is best), is driving techniques.

best wishes in your FE goal.

Welcome to the site! How has the SGII been working for you?

Hi Sille... the ScanGuage would more aptly be called a driver mod! ;-)

The vibe is actually a Toyota Matrix which is based on the Corolla and in Manufactured in Freemont, CA at the NUMMI Plant.

To learn More about the Vibe Check us out at https://forums.genvibe.com

The SCII is a great tool for modifing ones behavior.

Amsoil increased fuel mileage by 2 MPG when I switched to Amsoil 10W-30 Synthetic Motor oil in my 2001 Chevy Impala with 201,000 miles on the odometer! I would expect it may do the same for you.

Please don't try to sell stuff in the introduction forum.

Welcome to GS! I joined genvibe to ask a few questions about the Vibe. I have wanted a Pontiac Vibe from the moment I saw one in a parking lot in downtown LA, even before it was being sold, but I never pulled the trigger.

I think there are workers from the NUMMI plant posting on the genvibe site, right? If I had gotten a Vibe, I would have posted on the genvibe site and asked them to "sheppard" my car through their manufacturing floor, :D . I would have to make a new license plate frame :
