The FAQ answered a lot of questions but didn't answer two. How much does the Tesla way and how much does it cost to replace the batteries when they die?

wiki says its 2700lbs... don't know about the battery cost... I'm sure its expensive.

Go on https://www.teslamotors.com/ to find out all about that electric supercar.

Cost about 100 000 $

0 to 60 in under 4 seconds

Battery Life Useful battery, 100,000 miles

Range 245 miles (combined city/highway )

So, its a super car, with all that comes with it (brake, suspenssion, balance, handling, ect), but its an electric motor that made it run, and its a real beast, because electricity got way more pentential then gasoline.

Still got nice numbers, the battery change is about 100 000miles, not bad if you consider that few people, time and money are put in this technology. When (I hope it will come one day...), or if, this start to have some sells on the market, and if GM and the others big name put the money into it, we could have some great battery with long range at a good price. Its all about supply and demand...

i hope that Tesla Motors NEVER becomes part of GM. GM sucks and do what THEY feel it good and not what everyone else thinks. and this is where we think, WHY did they kill the ev1? not getting into it, look it up if you want.
Now, according to wikipedia, they should have planned 2010 for a $50,000 performance sedan, and in 2012, $30,000 for a economy sedan. All we need is for people to buy laptops or anything with lithium ion batts in them for the prices to go down..

Yeah, I watched who killed the electric car over at popimp's place and it was pretty eyeopening and SICK. Great documentary though about how GM had a great electric car but crushed them all and sold the battery technology to the oil companies, actually several automakers had viable electric cars that were leased in California. Another good one to watch is FreedomtoFascism.
