All that I see for grounds are a black wire on the CRX side and a black wire on the Integra side. I attached the two together.
I don't see any other wires that would be a ground. Maybe I will try attaching the Integra ground to a part of the body? |
I spose you could try, but it's my gut that there was some ground issue that involved multiple grounds...it'll be dark outside by the time I can get to my car...(until saturday) so I'm no direct help...wish I did a write up on it.

No more working on it tonight.
Going to first check all the bulbs tomorrow. https://media.honda.co.uk/car/owner/m...SH200/16-8.pdf Then check ground "g401" and hope one of those is the culprit. |
Well I don't know what happened overnight but I tried it again this morning and Voila! the lights now work.
I didn't do anything other than go out to the garage and try hooking up the same wires again and it worked this time. Even the dimmer works. |
I worked my wizard powers...
Actually though, I never got the dimmer to work (not that I bothered), so lucky you. |
Yah everything I read said the dimmer wouldn't work.
I tested everything and it all worked as it is supposed to so I am happy. Now to get my VSS out. SVO - How did you power your VSS? |
Pretty sure I just spliced it into whatever 12v I could find that only drew power with the key on...if you're going to EOC a lot with the MID you might want to give it constant or it's own switch or something, that way the mid will still read when the key isn't in the run position (not that that's a huge amount of time when you're EOCing anyway). I don't know what kind of draw it would have on the battery if you always left it on though...

Got the VSS out.
I decided to muckle onto it with a pair of vice-grips from the side and wiggle it back and forth with a punch of PB Blaster. Before I was just trying to pull / pry it out. This method seemed to work much better. |
Here are the pics.
Unfortunately no pics before when I de-pinned all of the CRX side. Not really necessary I guess. Pics speak for themselves pretty much. https://xs220.xs.to/xs220/07424/cluster1.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs220.xs.to/xs220/07424/cluster3.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs220.xs.to/xs220/07424/cluster2.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster4.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster5.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster6.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster7.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster8.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster9.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster10.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster11.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster12.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster13.jpg.xs.jpghttps://xs320.xs.to/xs320/07424/cluster14.jpg.xs.jpg |
Looks familiar. :)
Amber bulbs? My climate control doesn't look nearly as white in comparison. If you find an elegant method of mounting the cluster, be sure to post it up. |
