Not amber, just plain white color.

I think that my camera throws off the appearance a little bit.

About mounting it I actually wedged it in there really tight without cutting off tabs on either side of the Teg cluster. Coupled with the cluster cover it sits in there really tight.

One thing that I might do is trim the corners of the cluster cover so the fuel and temp gauges aren't obscured.

Not amber eh? What year is the cluster from? Mine looks green.

I think it came out of a 94 Integra LS. I can't remember for sure.

Nah, it's gotta be newer than that... My cluster came out of a '94. It didn't have a lens, so I actually ended up getting a '96 (maybe '97) cluster from the junkyard for it's lens... A used cluster was cheaper than buying a new lens from Acura. The odo of the lens donor has almost 208k miles on it, so I used the older cluster with the newer lens.
Getting back to the point, the '96 cluster has those same little fins between the odometer digits that yours has, but my '94 cluster lacks.

Used the original grommet in the firewall from the cable VSS to run the electronic VSS wires, 3 total, power, signal and ground. Ground went to the dashboard frame, power I spliced into one of the power lines already going to the cluster and the signal I split into two and ran one to the cluster and one to the original VSS line that ran to the ECU.

Wire-loomed the wires and taped it all up good.

Here is how it sits now. I did the install without cutting off either of the mounting tabs on the Integra cluster. I managed to wedge it in there really tight and ended up using good ol' zip-ties for added security.

All in all it wasn't too bad of a project. I have almost no experience with wiring hence why I wanted to either keep the CRX plugs in there or make it easy to revert back to it if need be.

I recommend this to anyone who thinks that they can do it. Just be sure to read up a lot on it beforehand.
